He didn’t offer any other details, but it at least gave us a rough idea of where Blizzard is probably at with the project. On the official forums, community manager Bornakk squashed that hope, but did reveal that the new build was related to current alpha testing that Blizzard employees are using. Last week, a World of Warcraft Classic data build surfaced on Blizzard’s CDN, leaving many to think that a beta was on the horizon. Today, though, we did get a tidbit of where the process is at. However, since its announcement, almost nothing has been said about it outside of the fact that it’s in development and apparently going smoothly. Blizzard embarked on the unusual and complicated process of creating World of Warcraft Classic, a separate project from the ongoing game that will see a reboot to the game’s system, bringing it back to how it played when the MMORPG behemoth first came out many years ago.
